It is a suspense drama about the fight for freedom in Soviet-repressed Lithuania. In the spring of 1972, Emilia, an actress-to-be, joins the protesting crowd of Lithuanian freedom-seeking young people in the streets of Kaunas to meet the life of their dreams. But everything changes in an unforeseen way. Now she is forced to struggle for a future prospect for herself and, also, for her friends. Life in Kaunas is also a disappointment, far from what she imagined before. She cannot count on lies, deception nor new love come out of the blue for saving her private secret and her life. But she is ready to take up any challenge for the sake of what she believes in.
